Data server is the database server in the Radiohost system. You can use some of the modules in the system without the server if you do not need the database access and want to have a file based system only. The use of databases comes into question when you want to use the Music database, the Music scheduling, Commercial booking, the logging facility and other advanced features in the Radiohost system. The server is totaly free of cost and you do not need to register the server. Other software systems using this server have been running with a high degree of stability with more than 50 concurrent users. |

Short description
|
| Unlike other automation systems the Radiohost system uses a true client/server technology. This ensures a high degree of stability and help you to keep your system on air. Also, when muliple users are accessing the database cuncurrently, a client/server system is faster and more reliable than a single platform database that are modified to run in a network.

Operating system: | Windows 95, 98 or NT |
Hard disk: | As fast as possible. The speed of the hard disk as well as the processor power have a high influence at the performance. If you are saving all logs and scheduling you will need 50 - 100 Mb disk space after a few years. |
